Over one thousand years of history, one thousand acres of walled parkland, gardens and agricultural estate on the banks of the Menai straights in Gwynedd, North Wales. For centuries the estate was one of Wales’s best keep secrets, sitting behind seven miles of stone walls hidden between the mountains and the sea protected and preserved from many of the ravages of time.

But today Vaynol is no longer a secret, since the millennium Vaynol has opened its gates to the outside world and has undergone a major renaissance to become the premier event site in North Wales.

As well as a bright and vibrant future the estate has also retained its rich and varied heritage. Vaynol Estate is steeped in history, with over seventy listed structures, including an Elizabethan Hall, Georgian Villa and Ornamental parklands.

The premier event site for North Wales sitting on the major access routes for the region with a portfolio of national, regional and international events to its name. The Estate is widely known as the home of the Faenol Festival, billed as "Bryn Terfel's Faenol Festival” or known locally in Welsh as "Gwyl Y Faenol". This wonderful event turned into an annual four day music festival, regularly attracting audiences of over 30,000 people.

Vaynol has accommodated such major and diverse events as; The BBC Big Weekend 2010,playing host to over 40,000 lucky winners, the Summer Pops 2004 attracting over 16,000 members of the public and had the honour of hosting the Welsh National Eisteddfod 2005 with an attendance of over 100,000.
